Light Hydrocarbon Section

Light hydrocarbons are compounds with short carbon chains (1 to 8) and simple structures that have low molecular weight, including: methane (CH4), ethane (C2H6), propane (C3H8), butane (C4H10), toluene (C7H8), hexane (C6H14), benzene (C6H6), etc. These compounds are obtained from crude oil, natural gas and chemical gases and play an important role in the global economy. Light hydrocarbons are used as the main fuel in transportation, electricity generation and heating, and are also an important raw material for the petrochemical industry in the production of plastics and chemicals. Due to their high efficiency, these compounds are of particular importance.

Features and Benefits

  • High efficiency:Due to the low molecular weight, more energy per unit free volume They do.
  • Suitable fuel:They are excellent fuels for internal combustion engines.
  • Petrochemical feedstocks:They are used in the production of a wide range of petrochemical products such as plastics, chemicals and solvents.
  • Relatively easy to access:Found abundantly in oil and gas resources.

Applications

  • Gasoline:The main fuel for cars and motor vehicles.
  • Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG):Used for home heating, cooking, and vehicle fuel.
  • Natural gas:Used as a fuel for electricity generation, heating and industry.
  • Petrochemical industry:Raw material for the production of plastics, resins and chemicals.
  • Ethylene and propylene:For the production of polyethylene and polypropylene.
  • Butane and benzene:In the production of fuels, chemicals, resins and medicines.
  • Solvents and additives:In the paint, varnish, adhesive and fuel and oil properties improvement industries.
